Being a first-time skier, I didn’t know how boots are supposed to fit and, unfortunately, that other store didn’t know how to advise newbies like me. On the third day of our ski trip and wearing a second pair of boots from that store, I couldn’t walk from pain. That was when I went to Wegscheider. Thomas and the team scanned my feet, ankles and legs; they asked questions to understand my skiing level and what issues I was having with my injuries. They gave me about 4 different boots to try on, at each of them explaining how they should and shouldn’t feel, how they should and shouldn’t fit, how to put them on and how to fastened them for comfort and performance. They also taught me what I should be looking for in a beginners boot (how flexible it should be, the weight of it and so on). Even though the boot was rented, it didn’t have that awful smell (lol) and it was in top shape. More importantly, it was so comfortable that I was able to ski for two whole days without pain and without furthering my shin injuries. Besides that, you notice at the store how the staff works as a team to offer clients the best experience possible, providing you personal attention even during busy hours. Next year, both me and my boyfriend will go straight to them :)

When I checked rating of the all ski rentals in Mayrhofen, I found out that Sport Wegscheider has reviews level 5.0. My first reaction was - it is not possible that all customers were satisfied. But believe me it is really so. Mr. Thomas and his team are incredibly customer orientated. Thanks a lot for the professional advice and perfect service.

Plus, they have a very good price in comparison to the other big companies in the corner..

The people working there are professional and are kind and friendly on a personal level, while being super quick and helpful with useful advice. The process to get your equipment, try on boots and get bindings sorted was the quickest we have ever had on our ski breaks, and the equipment was also excellent and looked brand new. The shop is close to the main Penken cable car. Just super. I have no hesitation recommending this business.
