Wanted to rent a car and the price not increase, but QUADRUPLED from one day to another. i understand renting last minute might decrease the availability of vehicles, but multiplying the price 4 times??? do not have any faith in this company now, feels like they are just trying to swindle customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sixt was by far the worst car rental experience I ever had (and I rented car many times through other companies). The fees that appear online in the moment of reservation are different than the ones we receive by e-mail one minute later, that are different from the ones that are charged in the end. As it was showing different amounts, I tried to edit it again a few times to have the correct price, but they charged 30 euros for every change I made - even if I was trying to correct THEIR MISTAKE.
And when I contacted them to complain about it, nothing was done - they simply answered that it is in the contract that this fee is charged. I will never, ever, rent a car from Sixt again, and I will don’t recommend it to anyone.
One positive point was that service at the branch was excellent. Very polite and attentive guy, but unfortunately he could not do anything to solve my problems.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ? after refusing the overcharged insurance expenses which would have more than doubled the price of the car, we were asked to pay 600 euros for damages that we couldn't have possibly made! Outrageous!
If you read through the comments below you will see that a lot of people complain about the same problem. It seems to be a pattern of beahviour, so pay attention when renting the car! ⚠️
