R	Renate Scharinger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toll. Ich mag diese Kirche sehr.. Schön und schlicht.. Im Winter auch nicht zu kalt im Innenraum.. Weihnachtskonzerte sind immer ganz familiär. Die Akustik ist super.. Great. I like this church very much .. Nice and simple .. In winter not too cold in the interior .. Christmas concerts are always very familiar. The acoustics are great.

Gleich daneben ist das Pfarrzentrum, der Kindergarten und die Union Tennishalle. Since 2018 there are toilets and a tourist office with shop, a large parking lot, also for buses. Right next door is the parish center, the kindergarten and the Union tennis hall.

Wir durften sie mit einer sehr netten Dame begehen, die uns sehr viel über die interessante Geschichte erzählte. In der Unterkirche werden die verschiedenen Epochen und Abschnitte der Baugeschichte farbig illuminiert - absolut sehenswert! Der Eintritt ist frei mit der Karte vom Museum Lauriacum. You should definitely treat yourself to a guided tour of this basilica! We were allowed to celebrate it with a very nice lady who told us a lot about the interesting story. In the lower church, the different epochs and sections of the building history are illuminated in color - absolutely worth seeing! Admission is free with the card from Museum Lauriacum.

Es ist eine Märtyrer Kirche mit Geheibenen von frue christlichen Märtyrern. Selbst Pabst Johannes Paul der II war hier. Interessant für Geschichts interessierte Very old basilica which rests on Roman foundations. From the outside rather modest. The bronze doors are very nicely designed. It is a martyr church with names of early Christian martyrs. Even Pope John Paul II was here. Interesting for those interested in history

Bei den archäologischen Grabungen, welche in den 60er Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts stattgefunden haben, legte man ein römisches Haus aus dem 2. Jh. n.Chr. frei, auf welchem im 4./5. Jh. eine frühchristliche Kirche errichtet wurde. Um 1300 wurde die heute noch bestehende Kirche im gotischen Stil erbaut. Imposante Ausgrabungen und zahlreiche Funde erzählen von der Zeit der römischen Legion und die Entstehung und Ausbreitung des frühchristlichen Christentums in der Provinz Norikum. Auch die Namen des Heiligen Florian (+304) und Severin (+482) sind untrennbar mit der Geschichte dieses Ortes verbunden. Im Inneren der Kirche finden sich zahlreiche sehenswerte Kunstwerke verschiedenster Epochen. The Basilica of St. Laurenz is a historic gem in central Upper Austria.
