Die Küche bietet wirkliche Schmankerl aus dem Waldviertel, saisonal und regional sind hier wirklich mehr als Schlagworte. Sehr flexibel im Angebot der Speisen. Man versteift sich nicht auf die Karte und geht auf jeden Gaumenwunsch ein. Die Qualität ist erstklassig. Die Rezepte ausgewogen. Gut bürgerlich bis interessant. Auf jeden Fall probieren: Mohnpalatschinken. Ein Träumchen. Reservieren ist empfehlenswert. Veranstaltungen oder Catering schlagen einem sonst ein Schnippchen. Die Bedienung, die Mutter des Hauses ist eine Wirtin aus dem Bilderbuch. Freundlich, entgenkommend, geduldig und ein Hauch kokett. Das Ambiente ist einfach Landgasthaus, basta. Alles ist sauber und adrett. Die Webseite unbedingt ansehen. Die Preise sind echt moderat und die Portionen mehr als ausreichend, auch für starke Bären. Einige Parkplätze stehen zur Verfügung. Übernachtungen stehen hier für echte Ruhe! Reiter mitsamt Pferd sind herzlich willkommen. Der nahe Stausee Ottenstein mit dem Waldcamping Lichtenfels bieten schöne Aussicht und Alternativen. Riders and horses are very welcome. The nearby Ottenstein reservoir with the forest camping Lichtenfels offer beautiful views and alternatives.
