The hotel has the advantage of being situated in the beautiful Austrian town of Gmunden on the shore of Traunsee in the Salzkammergut region. The Hotel is very accessible for wheelchairs, with ramps into the foyer and the terrace, lifts to upstairs rooms and we also had a walk in shower which was very welcome. Our room had superb views across the lake to Dachstein and other tall Alpine peaks. However we had no air conditioning which was a problem for us, as temperatures we're in the late 30s throughout our stay. Our saviour was the night manager, Joe, who was always full of bonhomie and ever helpful. He managed to find us a fan for the last 2 nights, which helped. A good breakfast was included in our room price (I can recommend the Bircher muesli) and we also ate in the Restaurant a couple of times and found the food to be of good quality and reasonably priced (for Austria). Staff were almost without exception friendly and kind to us, particularly Joe. We would love to return some time.

Rooms have brand new and modern bathrooms. Everything else is average - rooms, service, breakfast, price - for a hotel of this class. Nothing to be excited about
J	Jakub H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly despite limited free parking and slightly less comfortable beds. The location is amazing, staff great (actively smiling, which makes a difference) and breakfast one of the best we have ever had - including delicious Nespresso Coffee. You cannot go wrong unless you absolutely need a/c, which we understand no local hotel offers.

My room was spacious and clean, with a fantastic view over the lake. Food was good as well, both breakfast buffet and in the restaurant. People working there were nice and helpful.

Also note that you need to order sides as the food comes just as it is on the menu so in the end its not cheap. Overall very nice experience, good waiters, and I would definitely come back here for more food.
