★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The new owners have done a great job of revitalizing an old favorite. Modern cuisine, freshest ingredients perfectly prepared. Could eat here every day if my budget could handle it! Menu changes seasonally. Looking forward to my next visit next month.
UPDATE: We had our last wonderful meal at the Schlosstaverne last week, as we learned this gem will be closing -- not because business was bad -- at the end of September, 2018. You will be missed. Thanks for all the wonderful meals!
UPDATE 5.7.2020: The Schlosstavern is open again, and it's wonderful. It now seems to be part of the local Jo Schi empire, with an new menu and staff. We had fresh saibling (alpine char) from the local Lunzer saibling farm, and it was prepared simply and deliciously. This was a memorable dish that made me smile with every bite. Accompanied by small boiled potatoes and mixed salad. Everything was of the highest quality. Highly recommended. Great service, too.
