★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very charming and cozy hotel! Room was very nice and spacious, breakfast was good and had a nice selection. Hotel has a very nice restaurant where we had lovely dinners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the location is great, but the service from the family running the hotel is very poor.
the rooms were clean, but they had neither soap nor shower gel (nor shower curtain, for that matter!). after asking for it we only got an opened container of hair conditioner!
the children playroom (kinderecke) had a terrible smell of mould - maybe because the only window was around 30x30cm??
on top of that, during the weekend there was a wedding party on the ground floor. we were not informed of that and for 5 or 6 hours we could not even stay in our room because the music was so loud.
summary: i am sure there must be better offerings in Lunz am See - specially for the price!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place was very nice, 10min walking distance from the lake. You can get a very nice breakfast in the morning. In general very clean (and pretty cosy). The lady that checked us in was not nice and not friendly but it happens I guess. I recommend but only if you find some lower prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family hotel, rather bigger with restaurant, snooker, garage for bikes. It is about 1000m from Lanzer See. There you can rent an electrical boat. There is fish restaurant with great view on the lake. Ybbs river is nearby with its famous bike trail to Ybbs an Der Donau - it is 105 km long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place if you want a good après-ski dinner. Relaxed and smart at the same time. The garlic soup was foamy and silky. The fish was fresh and tasty. And thirsty for the superb green veltelini from Burgenland ?
