The Palace which is in the hotel property is open for you to walk through it. Worth the visit. Great staff. The only negative thing is that there is no restaurant for dinner on site.

T	Teresa Lau on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mixed feelings about this place. Very disappointed to find out that our room was NOT in the palace (all rooms are in a separate building, although very close...) Concierge was not helpful - her only offer was for us to cough up an additional 300 euros to stay in the palace. Luckily we bumped into the hotel manager at the end of our stay. He listened to our feedback and tried to mend things, although was too late. On a positive note, Jona who managed the breakfast area was absolutely amazing! Great guy, super friendly, he made our breakfast experience really memorable! Overall, it was a good stay, but just be warned that you will not be staying in the palace unless you are staying in "a suite" and not "a room".
N	Nino Levy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am 88 years old and have been in many luxury hotels. This is the worst! You get a most basic room. No air conditioning. No mini bar. No refrigerator. Only a small window. Terrible during hot summer days.
R	Reid LEGG on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aside from the breath taking scenery and elaborate grounds of this historical place, the staff has got to be the highlight. Friedrich, the young man that works in the cafe' was a joy to be around and our dogs were quite fond of him as well. Jordon, who managed the breakfast was one of the most professional and friendly staff we have encountered. The entire staff from the front desk to the servers and groundskeepers were kind, inviting, and made us feel at home. The breakfast, which can be taken in the ballroom, library, sundeck, and a number of other rooms was wonderful. Get there early for a table with a view. Right out the front gates there is a bike path that wanders through a field below the castle and into the old town area in about a 15 min walk. The views are wonderful along the path and you can access most of Salzburg tourist attractions, restaurants and cafe's within less than 30 min on foot. Thank you, We will stay again soon

We came for the wedding of our friends And this place is great for a party, meeting, wedding. Close to Salzburg center - few minutes by taxi. One suggestion for improvement is to have more Lights in the room.

The views were spectular, and the grounds well maintained. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with many choices! Check-in and check-out was seamless and quick.
T	Tanya S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely gorgeous lake and mountain views. Unfortunately it was very foggy during my stay so the mountains were only visible for a limited time. I’m sure in the summer time the fog would be less likely. I stayed in one of the suites in the main palace with the ballroom and where breakfast is held. I believe there’s 15 rooms in the palace. There is another more modern building with 50+ rooms that are smaller and don’t have the view. Both buildings are about 50m from each other though. Lovely lake to walk around that’s open to the public, so you need to leave the property to find the start of the trail. If you need to head to the train station or into town, the bus stop is about 10min walk. I walked into town and it took about 30 minutes. Great breakfast buffet selection in a stunning room. Highly recommend staying here for the experience of sleeping in a palace and the views.
