Die Sautränkalm ist eine wunderbar ruhig und abseits der "Trampelpfade" an den Hängen des Schafbergs gelegene Alm mit zwei unbewirtschafteten, privaten Almhütten. Da der "Normalweg" hierher (über den Falkenstein) und weiter auf den Schafberg recht steil und wenig attraktiv ist, wird er nur sehr wenig begangen. Man genießt dafür aber die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit des Weges, während auf den anderen Wegen mitunter "Heerscharen" dem Gipfel zustreben. Die Sautränkalm ist hier ein wirklich idyllischer Ort; Natursteine gliedern die Alm quasi in zwei Teile, die Hütten wohl schon ziemlich alt vermitteln authentisches "Almfeeling", der Ausblick ist herrlich. - Vorsicht aber mit Kind und Hund: Dir Ziegen (Sommer 2021) sind "neugierig" und nicht unbedingt scheu, der elektrische Zaun muss bei der Querung überstiegen werden (Privatweg, Benutzung auf eigene Gefahr). Hunde können nicht durchschlüpfen ohne den Strom zu "spüren" und müssen über den Zaun gehoben werden.

The Sautränkalm is a wonderfully quiet and off the beaten path on the slopes of the Schafberg with two unmanaged, private alpine huts. Since the "normal route" here (over the Falkenstein) and on to the Schafberg is quite steep and not very attractive, it is very rarely used. On the other hand, you can enjoy the quiet and seclusion of the path, while on the other paths sometimes "hosts" strive towards the summit. The Sautränkalm is a really idyllic place here; Natural stones divide the Alm into two parts, the huts are already quite old and convey an authentic "Almfeeling", the view is magnificent. - But be careful with your child and dog: You goats (summer 2021) are "curious" and not necessarily shy, the electric fence has to be crossed when crossing (private path, use at your own risk). Dogs cannot slip through without "feeling" the current and must be lifted over the fence.
