Wie immer sehr gute Speisen, schön präsentiert. Freundliche zuvorkommende Bedienung. Bestens empfohlen . Es war wieder ein sehr netter Abend.

Mittlerweile mindestens 2x die Woche holen wir uns das Mittagsmenü! Immer frisch gekocht und sehr, sehr lecker! Gut bürgerliches Restaurant mit klassisch österreichischen Schmankerln ?

Sehr zu empfehlen. Freundliche Bedienung und sehr gutes Essen. Kommen bestimmt wieder. Reservieren ist ratsam.Wer will und kann dieses tolle Lokal übernehmen? Ist sehr dringend! Braucht einen engagierten neuen Koch und Besitzer! Viele liebe Stammgäste warten auf Sie!

Good Viennese food, reasonably priced, pleasant atmosphere, friendly hosts

With a group of 18 people we were served fast. Staff was always polite and friendly. Great food quality.

Positives: Food, Service. Negatives: none. Decor/Ambiance/Service: Positives: Attractive restaurant on Döblinger Hauptstrasse. Location means that it’s probably not going to attract too many tourists although Döblinger Hauptstrasse itself does offer a variety of Boutiques, flower shops, supermarkets etc. I pass the restaurant regularly during the week and it’s often quite full. Service was great and the owner was welcoming, helpful and attentive. Negatives: Nothing to say on the negative side. Food: I asked the owner for his suggestion for meals and after asking whether I’d prefer beef, pork, fish etc he recommended the Gespickter Rindsbraten in Wurzelrahmsauce, Wald4tler Knödel und Preiselbeeren (14.90 Euros), which I took. My partner took the Backhend´l roulade mit Rohschinken und Camembert auf Erdäfpel - Vogerlsalat (14.90 Euros) and although not on the menu we ordered sausage and chips for our 5 year old son (6 Euros). The beef dish was great, nicely cooked with a very tasty sauce and the portions were generous. The dumplings were the first I’ve had in Austria and entirely different to those you’d get in the UK. They were much lighter and I suspect much healthier than English dumplings and I thoroughly enjoyed them. The Camembert Roularde was beautifully cooked and we’d be happy to recommend it to others. Had this dish been ordered in France it’s likely it would have been described as Cordon Bleu rather than Roulade. The Camembert itself was not strong in flavour, which depending upon personal tastes might be viewed as either a positive or a negative. With a couple of beers and an orange juice or two the total bill for 3 was 44.50 Euros. Gratuity: Optional. We ate very well and were well looked after and we left a gratuity of over 12% .
