PROSI Indian Restaurant - Kandlgasse 44

Ok, so hands down… one of the most authentic indian experience one can have in Vienna. During this week, we went twice for dinner and here is our experience. Maharani Thali - so for non-indian folks, thali is assortment of small portions of various dishes. The challenge is that customer should taste the difference between each portion. No one dish should be/is identical. There are also palette cleansers if one wants to go really down that culture. However, here, One thing is guaranteed, you will easily taste the difference. This is mandatory especially if you looking for wholesome yet cultural experiance will limited fried stuff. 10/10 Mango Fish Curry - 9/10, it was closest that one can be to authentic kerela style mango curry. But still yummy with malabar kerela parotha. Prawns Masala - 15/10, absolutely stunning, the texture, the taste, the way your juices start flowing once you bite. Everything absolutely unimaginable. Gloriously made. Thalassery Chicken Biryani - now for non indian folks, let me tell you that Thalassery is name of small town in Kerela, India. I have eaten it in that town, so my expectations were reserved. But i was pleasantly surprised & later overwhelmed. The spices, the combination, the freshness & on top of it all… the cultural significance of that small town is richly maintained even 8000 kms away. 100/10. Overall, this restraurent is closest you can get taste wise & culture wise to Indian food. I put some pictures, especially of the empty plate after finishing dinner. This shows the joy of one thats eaten a true homemade indian meal. Special mention to Rana & Chef Manish from Kerela. When you go there ask for Rana. He is super honest too basis your limitation to spice.

The food was so fresh & good! The Vada was the highlight :) I’d definitely recommend this if you’re ever in Vienna :)

*Indian reviewer* Best Indian food restaurant in not just Vienna but all of Austria by far. Do try their south Indian specialities, especially the Kerala preparations as they have origins from Kerala. Highly recommended. Will visit here again for sure and try more dishes on the menu. They put the same curry twice in the Dosa which was unexpected. The experience of Having dosa was not good. Otherwise everything was alright. ***As the reply option is off so the answer is the sambher was completely test less this was the reason for 1 star.

Delicious food. Took veg meal all the recipe was fresh and tasty. Must try Chicken Biryani. The highlighted dish was dessert kheer. Customer friendly.

One of the beat Indian restaurants I have been in Europe. You will find North Indian, South Indian. The dishes from kerala was amazing. Good ambience and fantastic service. I would love to come again if I visit Vienna again. I should say the locals are lucky. The staff are very friendly

It’s a very beautiful and nice restaurant, specialist in South Indian food which is more vegetarian, never miss the Dosa Masala there, Mahrani Thali (dish of small fascinating collection and tastes). The South Indian biryani is very special and not very spicy. With some delicious fresh mango lassi it can get better. Prices are very reasonable.

It is wonderful and amazing experience. On 29th Jan we celebrated our daughter birthday, PROSI made our(her) day more beautiful. We felt like doing the party like in India. Food is delicious, yummy. During party they gave a great support.
