★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beautiful catholic church of St. Michael in the lake-town of Mondsee. The exterior is simplistic but catchy and the interiors are gorgeous. The carvings on the wall and the altar immediately holds the eyes and the glass paintings on the towering walls add to the mystic ambience. Definitely the most visited spot in this town. There used to be a monastery as well beside the church but doesn't exist anymore apart from its campus wall boundary. There is a small but beautiful souvenir shop right at the entrance.
