Panoramahotel Burgeck

really great place to enjoy nature. ensure you try out the kitchen as well. we have been there in august and it was a great escape from the hot summer in the city! you can reach the Krimml waterfalls in 20 minute walking in a really nice surrounding. kind hosts/ clean rooms. we got free of charge the Hohe tauern card - you can use this card for free entry in the surrounding lifts/ exhibitions/ bathing areas and you can enjoy free train and bus ride in the area. the place has also special rooms for people with allergies and asthma. oh and almost forgot to mention the great view you get on the village and the waterfalls.

Been two times in the hotel. First time we came for one night and on the second time we returned for the whole weekend. There are many Zimmers in Krimml but only one Panoramahotel. The owner was very nice, it seemed like he remembered us (been 4 years) and gave us, since we asked, the same room we had before (room suitable for 6 and we were 2) with great view. The room was clean, the beds (we tried them all) were very comfortable. The view from the room was crazy. It's important to notice that the hotel does not have a lift, so if you have physical problems, it might be a bit difficult to get to your room. The breakfast was good so it seemed like everyone had something to eat. If the weather is good, breakfast at the balcony of the restaurant is possible and might be a great idea. The hotel standing on the highest point of Upper Krimml so as your car has some difficulties to climb the road, also you will have the same issue to deal. BUT, if you want, there are 2 bikes to rent (free) or you can go strait through the main road to the city (about 15-20 minutes). If you are willing to walk around the nature, Burgeck is a great point to start. Only 30 minutes from the waterfalls and also you can hike different roads inside the forest. Once we came, the hotel gave us a card that gave us a great discount on some attractions around and some were even free with this cards. If you are willing to eat your dinner in the hotel, it's possible and even recommended. The food is very delicious and have many special local dishes. It's also possible to take your beer with you to your room. It was great weekend and we'll definitely come back again.

This was the third hotel in my trip to Austria and definitely the best one. Starting with the great location with a breathtaking view, through the meticulous design, large and clean rooms to the nice crew. Very recommended!

The best place you could stay, we had room 104 with the below view from the balcony. The owners were great hosts and the food was really tasty as well. 1st picture in the morning and the second in the evening..

Stayed one night here last week. Amazing views from room and wonderful view of Krimml waterfall from dining area/breakfast room. Room and bathroom very clean, beds comfy. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. A steep up hill walk from bus stop especially with cases, not sure if we could have called for a lift up though. would stay again and recommend. A great starting hotel to explore the valley and waterfall. Thank you.

I so did not like the fact that they charge you for tap water 4EUR (I had half board). Otherwise, hotel was really clean and food was good (breakfast and dinner).I particularly enjoyed that pastry and desserts were not over-sweeten. View from the balcony at the Waterfalls is spectacular.

Omg ! Love this place . We had the perfect room with the perfect view . The rooms are all newly furnished and perfectly clean and tidy . The best part is the view from the balcony . It’s just breathtaking. You can watch the Krimmel waterfall right from your balcony . And the sound of the flowing water is so calming ! The property is managed by the family . They are very friendly . We would definitely go back to this place .
