★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A decent opera house in Styria, yet it gives you a bit of a close-quarter feeling. I mean , it is quite small, comparing to Vienna. The prices are quite steep for a local opera house in central Europe.

Friendly and professional staff throughout the venue. The acoustics were very good, one can see some panels for sound adjustment, but pretty non-invasive to the decoration and architecture.

Ensemble productions plus guest productions and special events.
Recently a good track record in bringing contemporary pieces on stage. Prices moderate. Own enmble cast and school for ballet productions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few of my friends and I went to watch the musical ”Guys and Dolls”. The performance was top notch. We were astonished by the amount of different things that were happening at the same time on the stage. I enjoyed it, even though I couldn’t understand dialogues (they were in German, what I expected). However, all songs we're in original language (in this case English), and actors performed them perfectly.
Opera, by itself, is breathtaking and I strongly advise everyone to visit it at least once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What s beautiful opera house. The performance I saw was amazing. The ballet dancers were unbelievably talented and incredible stamina. The set was breathtaking.
