F	Frank Atlantic on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vorneweg: Wer einen Aussichtspunkt in die Berge sucht, der ist hier völlig falsch. Da gibt es an jeder Ecke Innsbrucks bessere Plätze. Insofern lockt der Aussichtspunkt mit falschen Versprechungen. Die Aussicht, die geboten wird, ist hauptsächlich jene in die wildromantische Sill Schlucht. Eine "Sprungschanze" ist über die Felswand hinaus gebaut und mag für Flachländer einen rechten Nervenkitzel auslösen. Alpinisten werden dem nicht viel abgewinnen. Nur zur Plattform zu gehen, wäre nicht besonders lohnend, wer aber weiter geht und dann bei der Sonnenplattform über den leider nicht beschilderten leichten Weg in die Sillschlucht absteigt und diese zurück nach Wilten wandert, wird begeistert sein. Ein Idyll mit Brücken und Stegen, leicht zu gehen und Romantiker und Kindern werden begeistert sein. Im oberen Teil der Schlucht kann auch auf Sandbänken ans Wasser gegangen werden. Schon Goethe wanderte auf seiner Italienreise durch die Sill Schlucht und schwärmte von ihr. Fährt man mit der Strassenbahn zum Stift Wilten, steigt von dort zum Panoramapavillon auf, geht zur Aussichtsplattform am Drachenfelsen und steigt danach in die Sill Schlucht ab und wandert nach Wilten zurück, dann hat das Ganze 5 extra fette Sterne verdient. Der Aussichtspunkt alleine ist gerade mal 2 Sterne wert, wenn man grosszügig ist. First of all: If you are looking for a viewpoint in the mountains, you are completely wrong here. There are better places on every corner of Innsbruck. In this respect, the lookout lures with false promises. The view that is offered is mainly that of the wildly romantic Sill Gorge. A "ski jump" is built over the rock face and may trigger a real thrill for flat countries. Alpinists won't get much out of it. Just going to the platform would not be particularly worthwhile, but whoever goes further and then descends via the easy path, which is unfortunately not signposted, into the Sill gorge and hikes back to Wilten will be thrilled. An idyll with bridges and footbridges, easy to walk and romantics and children will be thrilled. In the upper part of the gorge you can go to the water on sand banks. Even Goethe hiked through the Sill Gorge on his trip to Italy and raved about it. If you take the tram to Wilten Abbey, go up from there to the panorama pavilion, go to the viewing platform at Drachenfelsen and then descend into the Sill Gorge and hike back to Wilten, then the whole thing has earned 5 extra fat stars. The viewpoint alone is only worth 2 stars if you are generous.
