★ ★ ★ ★ ★ information center/restaurant close to the start of the Otschergraben trail. You can buy your entry tickets to the park here (€2 just for entry, €5 for entry and the Mariazell train back to the center).
The Ostchergraben is a beautiful hiking spot also known as The Grand Canyon of Austria! Difficulty level: easy with clearly marked trails and well paved paths. We went during autumn and was treated to spectacular fall foliage and great weather. Hiking/sturdy sport shoes are recommended.
