Allerdings gibt es nur wenig „Informationstafeln“; womit die Bezeichnung „Lehrpfad“ nur ansatzweise getroffen wird. Der Weg selbst ist teilweise eng, steil und auf keinen Fall etwas für Menschen mit Höhenangst, oder die Halbschuhfraktion. Es gibt parallel dazu eine Längsfähre sodass man den Pfad hinauf gehen kann und dann mit der Fähre zurück zum Ausgangspunkt fahren kann (oder umgekehrt). Vorsicht wegen Betriebszeiten der Fähre – der Pfad beginnt auf beiden Seiten in einem Bereich, von dem aus man sehr lange bis zur nächsten öffentlichen Verkehrsanbindung gehen muss. The nature trail is a very beautiful path along the Danube in the area of the Schlögener Schlinge. The path itself is sometimes narrow, steep and definitely not something for people with a fear of heights, or the low-shoe group. There is a longitudinal ferry parallel to this so that you can walk up the path and then take the ferry back to the starting point (or vice versa). Beware of ferry operating times - the path begins on both sides in an area from which you have to walk for a long time to the nearest public transport link.

Ab der Fährenstation Au vom "Donaubus" bis zur Station Grafenau sind es zu Fuß ca. 7 km. Die dortige Flora, Fauna und die geologischen Besonderheiten werden auf mehreren Informationstafeln entlang des Naturlehrpfades erklärt. Für Radfahrer gänzlich ungeeignet. A beautiful nature trail, but a certain fitness, skill and a good surefootedness is necessary. From the ferry station Au from the "Donaubus" to the station Grafenau there are about 7 km on foot. T	Thomas Hiebl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wollte dieses Wochenende den Steig von Grafenau aus in Angriff nehmen, leider ist dieser aktuell gesperrt aufgrund von Fels-/Baumsturz. Dauer der Sperre unbekannt, am besten vorher bei der Gemeinde (?) anrufen. Leider ist die Sperre erst unmittelbar vor dem Steig (bei der Fähre) angeschrieben, könnte man auch gleich beim Parkplatz anmerken. I wanted to tackle the climb from Grafenau this weekend, unfortunately it is currently closed due to falling rocks and trees. Duration of the block unknown, it is best to call the municipality (?) D	Daniel Heß on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein Erlebnis für Groß und Klein. Viel Natur (Frösche, Eidechsen und ganz viele Schmetterlinge) und ganz beeindruckende Aussichten auf die Donauschlinge. Überwiegend Wanderwege, teilweise Leitern, Treppen. Gutes Schuhwerk und Trittsicherheit erforderlich. Zurück geht es dann mit der Längsfähre/Donaubus. An experience for young and old. Lots of nature (frogs, lizards and lots of butterflies) and very impressive views of the Danube loop. Mainly hiking trails, some ladders, stairs. Good footwear and surefootedness required. Then it's back with the longitudinal ferry / Danube bus.
