It was not our first vacation in the Murtalhütte and certainly not our last either! The location, the hut itself and the support are great!
S	Stefan Huber on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Murtalhütte ist eine gemütliche zum Teil urige Hütte am Ortsrand der Nationalparkgemeinde Muhr im Lungau. Man erreicht sie problemlos mit dem Auto auch im Winter. Die Hütte hat für maximal 10 Personen Platz. Sie ist ausreichend ausgestattet ( Hand und Saunatücher, ausreichend Besteck und Geschirr und alle möglichen Küchenutensilien). Im Buchungspreis sind enthalten auch die Hand und Saunatücher die Endreinigung und das Feuerholz. Ein besonderes Erlebnis und sehr angenehm ist die Fasslsauna im Garten der Hütte. Vom Ferienhaus weg kann man bereits die umliegenden Almen erwandern oder man fährt mit dem Auto Richtung Talschluss, von wo man aus die umliegende Bergwelt mit seinen herrlichen Bergseen und Wasserfällen entdecken kann. Gegenüber der Hütte ist der ortsansässige Sportplatz und eine asphaltierte Fläche zum Asphaltstockschießen sowie ein Street Soccer Platz. Trotzdem ist die Lage des Hauses sehr ruhig und man hat auch im südlichen Teil des Gartens die Möglichkeit völlig uneinsichtig dem Sonnenbaden zu frönen. Zu Fuß erreicht man in ca. 15 Minuten ein sehr gutes Wirtshaus wo Hausmannskost auf höchstem geschmacklichen Niveau genießen kann. Die Hütte eignet sich besonders gut für Familien aber auch für Urlaubergruppen. Die umliegenden Skigebiete erreicht man mit dem Auto oder den Skibus in 15-35min. The Murtalhütte is a cozy, partly rustic hut on the outskirts of the national park community of Muhr im Lungau. You can easily reach them by car even in winter. The hut has space for a maximum of 10 people. It is adequately equipped (hand and sauna towels, sufficient cutlery and crockery and all kinds of kitchen utensils). The booking price also includes hand and sauna towels, final cleaning and firewood. The barrel sauna in the garden of the hut is a special experience and very pleasant. From the holiday home you can already hike the surrounding alpine pastures or you can drive towards the end of the valley, from where you can discover the surrounding mountains with their wonderful mountain lakes and waterfalls. Opposite the hut is the local sports field and an asphalted area for asphalt curling as well as a street soccer field. Nevertheless, the location of the house is very quiet and you also have the opportunity to indulge in sunbathing in the southern part of the garden. You can walk to a very good tavern in about 15 minutes, where you can enjoy home-style cooking of the highest quality. The hut is particularly suitable for families but also for holiday groups. The surrounding ski areas can be reached by car or ski bus in 15-35 minutes.
