UNCOMFORTABLE + equipment - BUT, the staff No wonder that there are people complaining about the staff! obviously im not the first- and only one who complains about this incident Ps. there is no reason to be rude if theres something to say to a member go ahead .. but saying things loudly infront of everybody thats a no go! - thats humiliating Instead of body training maybe its not a bad idea to train how to treat people right!

Nice gym studio, all new (from a couple of years), nice room distribution, the cleanest of all McFit studios I know. One thing that I don't like is that the weight training/lifting area is closed by 9pm every day, why? It is supposed to be a 24/7 gym.

Scam I was scammed and McFit won’t do anything about it. I signed a contract for a one year long membership online and gave my Irish bank account details- the website said it was a success and told me to pick up my card. I went to this Mariahilfer Gym where one of the employees specifically told me my contract was not valid as I used an Irish bank account and I was refused a membership but the following month I noticed 60€ or so was taken out of my Irish account even though I was told I don’t have any membership. In the mean time of that month I decided to sign up at another gym but I am now being forced to pay for this gym, even though they refused to give me a card until only after I went there to complain and ask what on earth is going on. Staff are unhelpful and don’t seem to understand anything? Keep away.

Studio is ok - women bathrooms could be cleaner and it really sucks that the Boxing section got removed and the training space where the boxing was is only open from 9am also the Problems with the weights - you are not allowed to bring them upstairs - which actually would be really helpful. Also it can get very busy sometimes then you would have to basically wait in line , therefore I always go very early, then it works fine.

I have always been very happy, up until today- I went in to hand in my cancellation. The woman behind the desk was really polite, but another guy came over to sort out the issue and he was unbelievably rude. I was too stunned by his arrogant and unpleasant manner to get his name. I am absolutely amazed that he has a job in customer service, and I am pretty sure he would not have spoken to a beefed up man like he did. I would not advise joining this gym at all.

A huge selection of machines and guided courses. I like that the locker rooms are big enough for the capacity of the guests. Also great: They partnered up with the app LOOX and so even beginners can get training plans with guided instructions how to use a certain machine. I don’t like that there are no light free weights for women (2-10kg) or at least not anymore. I also noticed that nearly every time I‘m there (2x/week) two treadmills are out of order.

I'm an American used to guido New York or permanently in-shape California gyms, so please take that in mind with this review. The gym is very conveniently located for transit and has TONS of equipment and a very friendly staff. It is also quite cheap. For all those reasons, I selected to be a member. True the equipment isn't the newest, the news isn't updated, and the clocks don't work, but you get what you pay for... that said, there are some things that I would potentially caution other Americans about: First, there is no water fountain and only a single sink. This isn't too much of a problem during slow times, but during the rush, it can be a bit problematic. What I find to be unconscionable both during the summer and during a pandemic is the lack of fans or use of air conditioning. Were it not for these aspects, then I'd rate it higher. So if you don't mind stale, warm, uncirculating air and you don't wish to drink water, then I would rate this a 4.5.

Good luck trying to quit a contract here. They'll give you an email address. I sent them an email, didn't receive a reply for weeks so I sent another email. They finally emailed back and said they were only an umbrella company for McFit (even though the email was @mcfit.com) and that they couldn't cancel my contract. In the meantime I've been trying to call, no answer, still being billed. I just went I personally and they told me to send an email. I told them I had and they said I need to come back again in a few hours. Why they think people have nothing else to do is beyond me. I asked if he could have his boss call me, he said no. They're sleazy and make money by taking advantage of people.
