I signed a contract for a one year long membership online and gave my Irish bank account details- the website said it was a success and told me to pick up my card. I went to this Mariahilfer Gym where one of the employees specifically told me my contract was not valid as I used an Irish bank account and I was refused a membership card but the following month I noticed 60€ or so was taken out of my Irish account even though I was told I don’t have any membership. In the mean time of that month I decided to sign up at another gym but I am now being forced to pay for this gym, even though they refused to give me a card until only after I went there to complain and ask what on earth is going on. Staff are unhelpful and don’t seem to understand anything? Keep away.
T	Terez ka on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very unhappy with this gym now. I know the situation now with corona is complicated - it is hard for all of us. But - not informing us, charging us for no service because gyms are closed and not providing customer service?! I mean - something's gotta give. Customer service worker just hung up on me in the middle of our conversation. Not to mention it took me 2 days to even reach someone, the phone number is either busy or on automatic answer (and I was trying at different times during the day, always the same). Unacceptable, really. No solutions and they keep charing customers. Plus the self-service does not really work - I could not change my bank account when i switched banks. I was very happy with the gym and their services at first but I think the past couple of months were handled very, very badly.

However, they gave me a free trial day pass instead, which was an unexpected surprise. The gym itself was fantastic. Very clean, new and very well equipped. There was everything one could ever want except a punching bag. There is lots of space and plenty of light from the huge windows. Highly recommended and thanks for the free trial. I really appreciated it.
