★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated in a quiet back-road off the main tourist streams. In summer one can sit outside street-cafe style. The owner is extremely friendly and the food is simply excellent. They have a small menu of recurring meals (different meats from what I remember) and a weekly changing menu of seasonal goodies. Loved it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best steak in town. Besides the delicious food, the service is excellent. I will definitely come back and can recommend it to anyone who wants a great gastronomy experience in Salzburg. Just keep in mind that it is not cheap one, but it is completely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The good: cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. The bad: the main courses took 1h to arrive (we ordered two steaks and no starters). They mixed up one of the side dishes’ order. The ugly: the steaks were the saltiest steaks I ever had in my life, and they came slightly burnt on the sides - see photo. For the price we paid the quality of the food was poor. Regardless of the price - it was poorly cooked. The only good thing I can say about the cooking is that the side dishes were Ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice, sophisticated but not posh family run restaurant. The decor is perfect for a date night, the dishes were all delicious- make sure to check out their daily specials on top of the main menu. We came in the season of truffles and the gnocchi with steak came out all covered in the truffles. So good! Beef tartar was also awesome.

The meat is so tender and juicy. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Salzburg!
