★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After strolling around in Bad Gastein and being told it was "fully booked" in EVERY SINGLE restaurant we stopped by, we finally encountered this cosy restaurant. The waitress was very kind and sweet and found us a table for four persons. We had a nice time with nice food. The selection of food was not too impressive, but it was more than enough. I had a Schnitzel, which tasted really really good. After our meal, the waitress also helped us to order a taxi for us back to Bad Hofgastein.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the trout and the steak. The steak was a bit on the medium side, I prefer rare but still nice and tender though! Well thought out dish. The trout was excellent, with capers and almonds which really added some flavour. Well thought out menu, nice service, great view. Only remark I have, something they often do in restaurants outside of Belgium and which frustrates me: they give you some tiny appetizer and bread (which you didn’t ask for) and then they charge you for it. I honestly don’t understand this practice and it’s especially annoying because me and my travel buddy don’t eat bread. So we end up paying for nothing. Anyways, probably a local thing but still annoys me to have to pay for something I never ordered.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long wait, not the best service. The portions were shockingly small. The fungi tortellini tasted nice but not worth it. The loempias was actually just one loempie cut in two pieces on loads of garnishing for 12 euros.. Unfortunately, not a succes. We will report back to headquarters...

Lamb chops and fish are “worth” the try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sitting outside will grant a great view but the noise coming from the waterfall is annoying and makes conversation a little harder. The food was not the best but as promised from the menu. The food was ridiculously overpriced and the amount you get for your money is disappointing. We came in a group of eleven and saw others come and go before we even got our meals so don't expect a fast service unless you are eating as a couple. Overall we can not recommend this restaurant.
