Freely accessible meadow with swimming in the Old Danube. Toilet use also free, but unfortunately only pee boxes set up. Only a few free parking spaces available, best reached by bus 92A and at the weekend also at 91A station steamship heap. Food and drinks vis a vis in the streetcar Bad.

A lawn on the banks of the Danube, where you can sunbathe and swim for free. There are steps to enter the water. In principle, nothing special. Clean, modest.

Absolutes Hundeverbot! Wird von der MA 45 – Wiener Gewässer kontrolliert.

I visited on a Sunday morning in summer, naturally it became crowded but people were civilized, not noisy and maintaining the necessary distance. Water seemed reasonably clean and good for swimming.

Nice. Clean. Quiet. Small. The water is fairly clear (I would estimate that you can see 1.5 meters deep), and not too cold. Just right for a hot day (it is 30 degrees centigrade now and getting hotter). Some ducks and small fish are swimming around, so I think the water must be at least somewhat healthy. There is a small number people (I came late Friday morning in the middle of July); therefore, it is quiet. Everyone here appears to be local (except yours truly). Facilities include picnic tables, trash cans, portable toilets, and some trees for shade. There are no snack kiosks, lockers, or any services like that. Nobody works here; everyone is here to enjoy themselves. There is a grassy area (see the satellite photos). There are two small sandy areas where you can access the water, as well as a ladder leading up to a concrete landing. The slope in the water is very gradual, making it very comfortable to wade in, even for a nervous swimmers, like myself. The parts of the lake floor that I went to had small round rocks, which were reasonably comfortable to walk on. Some areas have silt, which is also fairly comfortable, but unstable, and clouds the water when you walk in it.
