★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der neue Lichtbrunnen ist eine etwa neun Meter hohe Skulptur symbolisiert das ursprüngliche Zentrum der Altstadt, bis 1945 galt der Hofberg als Marktplatz, und mündet in einen runden, flachen Sockel, der den ehemaligen Brunnen markiert. Der Sockel dient gleichzeitig als Sitzmöbel und lädt zum Verweilen ein (siehe Bilder...). Er wurde vom Verein Altstadt neu initiiert, von der Linz AG finanziert und von den Tp3 Architekten entworfen worden. Seine Wirkung ist erst in den Abendstunden vollends da.
The new light fountain is a sculpture about nine meters high, symbolizing the original center of the old town. Until 1945, the Hofberg was regarded as a marketplace, and ends in a round, flat base that marks the former fountain. The base also serves as seating and invites you to linger (see pictures ...). It was newly initiated by Verein Altstadt, financed by Linz AG and designed by Tp3 Architekten. Its effect is completely there only in the evening hours.
