 Great lift, there are also toilets here right away so that is that easy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wunderschöne, sonnige Hänge zum Genußskifahren. Vom Gipfel weg kann man Richtung Bad Mitterndorf zur Mittersteinbahn abfahren.
Beautiful, sunny slopes for pleasure skiing. From the summit you can descend towards Bad Mitterndorf to Mittersteinbahn.

Great freeride area. Unfortunately, there are many draw paths in between, but a MUST if you have fresh snow!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Als Kind bin ich mit dem Vorgänger, wovon immer noch die alte Talstation steht, auf den Lawinenstein gefahren. Dagegen ist der heutige Sessellift ausreichend komfortabel, wenn auch eine Sitzheizung fehlt. Aber das stört mich persönlich überhaupt nicht. Damals hat' ewig gedauert, war aber doch entspannender, als die damalige Alternative: Der Ankerlift lag am Krallersee und ging ziemlich steil nach oben.
Fazit: Schnell und dank Wetterschutzhaube auch ausreichend komfortabel. Bei Sonnenschein kann man die Fahrt richtig genießen und dabei etwas neue Kraft tanken.
As a child, I rode up the Lawinenstein with the previous one, of which the old valley station is still standing. In contrast, today's chairlift is sufficiently comfortable, even if there is no seat heating. But that doesn't bother me at all personally. Back then it took forever, but it was more relaxing than the alternative at the time: the anchor lift was on the Krallersee and went up quite steeply.
Conclusion: Fast and, thanks to the weather protection hood, also sufficiently comfortable. When the sun is shining, you can really enjoy the ride and recharge your batteries.
