★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a Teaching Assistant in Bad Ischl during 2015-2016. As an activity, we reviewed restaurants, and put them online. This is one such review which is taken from a number of students in a class. Below is all student review.
The salmon and the chocolate mousse are both quite delicious. The service is friendly and nice. The atmosphere is very beautiful as well.The last time I was there, I had the schnitzel. The crust had a nice crunch.In the summer you can sit outside in the sun. Every meal was very delicious, and I enjoy the traditional Austrian dishes. The place is very clean and I didn’t wait too long for my food.
The restaurant got its name because many years ago, the owner was called Antonia Sams, and she loved nocken. Nocken is a special type of food from Austria. It’s a small ball of flour fried in fat that you eat with sauerkraut. The story is in the menu, so check it out for more information when you go!
As for my personal opinion, I feel the same as my students. The one thing I would add is that the walk to the restaurant is the best part, as it goes along the Ischl River.
