★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The apple strudel here is very nice. One issue for us was that they are cash only and yet have two signs out the front with the American Express logo. When we mentioned it to the person service us, she just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude waiters. Slow service. Seems like they don’t even want us here. I don’t know if it’s because we re English and foreigners. Incorrect food bought out. And when we summoned the waitress, the first one ignored us and then the second one when about her business of wiping down tables before eventually coming over to us. Had to wait even longer for food to come out, and then when it did it was very underwhelming, very basic and not very exciting at all for the cost. Which we feel was fairly expensive. All in all it was naff service and naff food. Not impressed at all. We reluctantly paid our bill, but we didn’t tip. I suggest you avoid this place like the plague.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the finest pastry/dessert/cake experience of our entire trip. We will forever remember picking out three different items for takeaway, then waking down to the park by the lake, and sitting down on a bench in the shade of a tree, eating those incredible confections while looking at a stunning pastoral view.
The cakes here were better than anything we could find in Salzburg.

Do not forget to take a cup of coffee and a good cake ? Do not also forget to visit the Church where #soundofmusic movie wedding scene was filmed ?

Haustorte was amazing, tort with poppy was unbelievable!
Kaiserschmaren was ok.
There is also good selection of tea and coffee.
Recommend the place for a short breakfast or deserts.
