The staff (waiters) are not polite. No respect for the customers!! We bought Ice cream from their stand at the window and because we took shelter inside because rain started, they kicked us out. Shame!!

Big dissapointment in The services in this local this year !! We bought Ice cream from their stand and because a heavy rain started we entered and took a sit at their empty tables. They wanted to kick us out because the Ice cream was bought from their stand, not from inside... Like it was not the same business and same Ice cream!! Shame!! To kick out a customers that payed for your products and not to care that the product will be distroyed by the heavy rain...even you have place inside to offer them a shalter for some minutes... It was my Last visit there!! I don't want to contribute to a business that does not care for it's customers and have this kind of policy.

I just love their homemade ice cream! I been buying ice there since I was little and all of my family is buying there ice to here! - big recommendation, and this tip comes from one who lives in Mondsee ?

Fantastic, home-made ice cream for incredible prices! I've been coming here for 15 years now I guess and have never been let down. Just came again, six generous scoops for 4 people for less than €10. Flavours are super Austrian! Zwetschge (Special type of plum) is a must, such a fresh, fruity flavour. Also always had good Topfen (a type of fresh cheese like quark). Can also recommend pistachio, hazelnut, Amarena cherry, yoghurt. (Fun fact, the owner's name and therefore the shop's name Übleis means "nauseous ice cream")

DON’T BOTHER getting ice cream from here! Not only is the ice cream sub par, the service is terrible! We just went here on the recommendation of our tour guide, who claimed that the ice cream was the best in Austria. We love ice cream, so we thought, “We have to try it!” Big mistake. First off, they won’t let you sample any of the flavors. So we asked for the girl to tell us what they were and she couldn’t translate into English very well. So we picked flavors that seemed like ones we recognized, but ended up unhappy because they didn’t taste like what they looked like. This is a problem that could be easily avoided, BUT THEY DON’T ALLOW YOU TO SAMPLE. Second, we were asked if we wanted a cone or a cup. We said cone and were given a standard cone. It was only after we got our ice cream and started to walk inside that we saw the option for a waffle cone or chocolate dipped regular cone. It would have been a lot easier to eat the ice cream in a waffle cone, but again, we weren’t given that option. The kicker though, the thing I REALLY take issue with, was how we were treated once we walked inside. My husband wanted to grab a cup of coffee and sit down to enjoy our ice cream, so we walked inside. We headed to the back to grab a table, and as soon as we got back there an older woman (I’m assuming the owner? Or maybe a really snobby patron?) spoke up and said, “You’re NOT ALLOWED in here with ice cream! You must get out. Ice cream cones are take away only!” Her tone was extremely rude, condescending, and offensive. I guess these people don’t get or don’t care to get the concept of being nice to patrons so that they spend more money. TL;DR - The ice cream isn’t as special as people make it out to be and the people who run this place are rude. Don’t give them your money!

A bit overpriced. 4,5€ for 3 balls without any additions. I had not much of fruits in the "Fruit cup" from the menu. The ice cream is delicious though, better than Austrian average ice cream. Staff is friendly and let me choose milky ice cream instead of fruity one, which comes with the "Fruit cup" from the menu.

The best ice cream in town! It was recommended from a friend. There was non-ending line outside for take away but served fast. Despite of coronavirus, this Café does not run out of customers. Amazing! Their ice cream is haus gemacht/home-made and very delicioso! That's why it is popular and people don't mind lining up to get this very tasty treat! ??? Plus I love this cute decoration they put on top. I wish they have a branch near my place.
