Von außen wirkt es urig und fast geschlossen... innen hell, modern und dennoch passend zur Region.
Service is super freundlich und aufmerksam.
Das Menü ist nicht überfrachtet und bietet dennoch genug für jeden Geschmack und auch viel für Vegetarier.
Wir hatten Schmalzbrot (lecker), Gulaschsuppe (reichhaltig), Flammkuchen (knusprig und gut belegt) und Kaiserschmarren (super).
 Delicious!!!
From the outside it looks rustic and almost closed ... inside, bright, modern and yet in keeping with the region.
Service is super friendly and attentive.
The menu is not overloaded and still offers enough for every taste and also a lot for vegetarians.
We had lard bread (delicious), goulash soup (rich), tarte flambée (crispy and well topped) and Kaiserschmarren (great).

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl.
Small tavern where we enjoyed a drink before the ascent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super lässige Burg und liebevoll restauriert. Gastronomie und Essen waren hervorragend und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir waren beim Mittelalterfest hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Besucher waren von den vielfältigen Angeboten an verschiedenen Veranstaltungen und Darbietungen, das sowohl junge als auch ältere Menschen begeistert. Gerne werden wir nächstes Jahr wieder kommen.
Super casual castle and lovingly restored. Food and food were excellent and the service was very friendly. We were here at the Medieval Festival and felt very comfortable. Visitors were amazed by the diverse offerings at various events and performances that thrilled both young and older people. We will be happy to come back next year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ristorante/bar all'interno della struttura storica. Bel locale, con elementi moderni che si integrano benissimo con l'antico delle mura della dogana. C'è un parco giochi per i bambini. Il cibo buono, soprattutto i dolci. Prezzi buoni...(parlano solo inglese o tedesco, fortunatamente il menù è anche in italiano)
Restaurant / bar inside the historic building. Nice place, with modern elements that integrate very well with the ancient customs walls. There is a playground for the children. Good food, especially the desserts. Good prices ... (they only speak English or German, luckily the menu is also in Italian)

non è proprio comodo da raggiungere ma ne vale la pena
Il mangiare è ottimo e tradizionale.
Il prezzo a mio parere è in linea e abbastanza coerente (alla fine è appena più costoso che da altre parti)
Servizio buono anche se l'italiano non è tanto capibile, ma ci può stare.
Consiglio vivamente per chi fa tappa a vedere il castello
Really very nice place adjacent to the castle walls and in a context that respects the historicity of the place.
it's not really convenient to reach but it's worth it
The food is excellent and traditional.
The price in my opinion is in line and quite consistent (in the end it is barely more expensive than elsewhere)
Good service even if the Italian is not very understandable, but it can be there.
Highly recommend for those who stop to see the castle

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice restaurant near the historical place of Altfinstermünz. It is accessible through the same steep path as Altfinstermünz, that requires 20 minutes down / 30 minutes up walk.
The gulashsuppen was delicious.
