Very nice place a great children hotel

We had fantastic time with Kinderhotel Laderhof. My husband and I enjoyed the sauna, massage, food and “us time” walking up the hill, enjoying the scenic view of the hotel surrounding. The hotel provides excellent childcare. I wasn’t keen on leaving my kids at the kid club at first but my boys (age 4 and 6) love it so much there, they demanded to stay there longer every time I wanted to pick them up. They love having their face painted everyday - superhero, cheetah or scary halloween faces! It was so much fun! They enjoyed the play room, building blocks, soft play area, swimming pool and bouncy castle! My eldest (age 12) love the swimming pool, pony riding, feeding the rabbits and quiet time reading her books or watching Netflix while the brothers are in the kid club. My kids were reluctant to leave! I’m truly impressed with the food. Both me and my husband are picky when it comes to food, I also very particular on what my children eat. Being Asian, I love rice or noodles. I even brought a mini steamer and rice with us to get my rice fix. I was delighted when I see they served rice for lunch and pasta for dinner. My children’s had balanced meal of protein, carbs and vegetables daily. My eldest love the daily soup. Room : I wasn’t impressed with the room initially. It look dated. But the impression quickly changed after a good night of sleep. The mattress was comfortable, sheet were clean. The shower is great, strong water pressure! We also had a big dining table in the room, my eldest love that spot to watch Netflix (downloaded prior to the trip) on her laptop. WiFi wasn’t great for movie streaming but it is sufficient for net browsing. We looking forward to spend more time here next time!

Great kinder hotel to relax with children. Can do many stuff outside and inside hotel. Very friendly personal. Food, snack and drink for adults and children included and all time available. Epic view of austria mountain from the room. Tip: if you like fishing, near the hotel is a small lake with a lot of fish. The licence can be bought on the reception and cost only 10 euro for day and 2 fish.

This hotel provides many services although most of them would need some improvement. Overall I would rather the place 3.5. It is located in a quiet area and the gondola for the slopes can be reached in a 10 min walk. The hotel provides a free shuttle service, but only in the morning until 10:15 and then again after 3pm. Driving to the gondola was also possible (except on the Sunday when the parking was overcrowded). Parking outside the hotel was instead easy and there were also a few places in a garage nearby. The food quality changed a lot during the week with some nice menus but also a few disappointing ones, especially if you are vegetarian and your choice is limited. The breakfast buffet provided instead a good choice and the staff was always ready to integrate with eggs-bases dishes. There was also an afternoon selection of food and cakes and free coffee (from a machine). However coffee was not free throughout the whole day, which seems a bit odd. Anyway, water and juices were always available from dispensers (except in the night). Our son did not use the child club much, so I cannot provide an opinion on it. Anyway there was an indoor playground where he could go to play and he liked that. There was also a decently equipped play room in the basement but a few games were in poor conditions (especially the playstations) and all were quite dirty. There is also a little gym but it was underground, with no windows, the devices were of good quality but old and overall it didn't look super clean either. The same consideration applies also to other common facilities, such as toilets. The pool was nice but a bit dirty at the end of the afternoon after being used by many families. There was no changing room, which is a bit inconvenient. The rooms were ok although they were lacking shelves (especially in the bathroom), which is a bit problematic for families. During our stay, there was a gastro-flue affecting many of the hotel guests. The hotel direction did not take any proactive measure to inform the customers. I am not sure if the direction could have done much to prevent the spreading. However, quick information could have helped us in avoiding the kids club and common areas and save us from two days in bed. Apart from that, he staff was generally nice and helpful and helped us with things such as providing light food.
