Best Ski resort in austria

N	Nata H. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Etwas kleineres Ski Gebiet. Für mich war es super als Anfähnger. Nur leider kein Schnee mehr groß gehabt. Slightly smaller ski area. For me it was great as a beginner. Unfortunately, there was no more snow.
K	Katharina Klenert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolles Familienskigebiet und super Kinderskischule - alles klasse organisiert. Hervorragendes Essen in der Truyenstube! Herrliche Aussicht in der Sattelklause! Auch das Café Huamat im Ort ist eine echte Bereicherung. Ein großes Lob an alle, die so freundlich und hilfsbereit ihre Jobs machen, sei es am Lift, in den Gastronomiebetrieben oder den Skischulen! In Fendels wird man immer äußerst gastfreundlich aufgenommen! Sehr schade und ein dicker Minuspunkt ist aber, dass die Betreibergesellschaft Kaunertaler Gletscherbahnen den Zinggelift nicht in Betrieb genommen hat! Die im unteren Ortsteil untergebrachten Feriengäste, die hier direkt zu Fuß ins Skigebiet hätten einsteigen können, wurden hierdurch gezwungen, mit dem Auto den Parkplatz anzufahren. Die ohnehin angespannte Parksituation wurde unnötig zusätzlich verschärft. Außerdem entfiel ein gerade für Anfänger attraktives zusätzliches Lift- und Pistenangebot. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass der Zinggelift nur vorübergehend außer Betrieb ist! Great family ski area and great children's ski school - everything was well organized. Excellent food in the Truyenstube! Magnificent view in the saddle hermitage! The Café Huamat in town is also a real asset. Kudos to everyone who goes about their jobs in such a friendly and helpful manner, be it at the lift, in the restaurants or in the ski schools! In Fendels you are always received extremely hospitably! It is a pity and a big minus point, however, that the operating company Kaunertaler Gletscherbahnen did not put the Zinggelift into operation! The holiday guests accommodated in the lower part of the village, who could have entered the ski area directly on foot, were forced to drive to the car park. The already tense parking situation was unnecessarily aggravated. In addition, an additional offer of lifts and slopes, which is particularly attractive for beginners, was dropped. Let's hope that the Zingge lift is only temporarily out of service!

j	jeffrey Kok on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In de zomer gebruik gemaakt van deze lift. De lift is goed verzorgd en tegen een goed tarif wordt je naar boven gebracht in goed onderhouden gondels. Wij hebben een wandeling gemaakt vanaf het 'mittel station' via de wassertal wandernweg dit is goed te doen en een mooie wandeling van ongeveer 2 a 2.5 uur terug naar de gondelbaan. Er zijn binnendoor routes, zodat je het pad niet helemaal hoeft te volgen maar één daarvan is behoorlijk pittig. Verder een prima wandeling om met de hond te maken onderweg kom je langs stromend water waar ze even kunnen drinken. Used this lift in the summer. The lift is well maintained and for a good rate you are taken up in well-maintained gondolas. We took a walk from the 'mittel station' via the wassertal wandernweg, this is doable and a nice walk of about 2 to 2.5 hours back to the gondola. There are routes through, so you don't have to follow the path all the way, but one of them is quite tough. Furthermore, a great walk to take the dog on the way you pass flowing water where they can have a drink.
F	Freeride Skiing on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kleines Skigebiet abseits des Trubels der großen Skiarenen. Ideal für Familien mit Kindern bzw. Anfänger. Man kann sich zwar auch als "alter Hase" auf der schwarzen Plangerpiste müde fahren, aber es gibt nicht viele Pistenkilometer. Dafür Ruhe und wenig Betrieb. Leider im Hochwinter wenig Sonne. Dafür im Frühling (27.03.2022) noch recht guten Schnee trotz warmen Temperaturen wegen der Nordlage. Small ski area away from the hustle and bustle of the big ski arenas. Ideal for families with children or beginners. Even if you are an "old hand" you can get tired of skiing on the black Plangerpiste, but there are not many kilometers of pistes. But quiet and little activity. Unfortunately little sun in midwinter. But in spring (03/27/2022) still quite good snow despite warm temperatures due to the northern location.

Beware of the blue 4 - quite steep for a beginner, horribly flat in the middle and a forest path at the bottom. 6a is for the brave ones! Great view from the top. Also great for real beginners at the bottom.
