★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imposante barocke Wallfahrtskirche hoch über der Donau. Sie besticht vor allem als Akzent in einer schönen Landschaft und als Aussichtspunkt in eben diese Landschaft. Auch das Innere ist ansehnlich, wenn auch nicht zu vergleichen mit den absoluten Highlights wie Melk oder Wilhering.
Imposing baroque pilgrimage church high above the Danube. It particularly captivates as an accent in a beautiful landscape and as a vantage point in this very landscape. Even the interior is handsome, if not to compare with the absolute highlights such as Melk or Wilhering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Wallfahrtskirche Maria Taferl ist zu recht weitum bekannt. Schon weitem ist der markante barocke Bau mit seine Zwei Türmen hoch über der Donau zu erkennen. Die Kirche ist ein wunderschöne Beispiel eines barocken Meisterwerkes, die Ausstattung lässt den Betrachter staunen, Sehr viele und sehr schöne Altäre, schöne Fresken .... viele Votivbilder zeugen von der Volksfrömmigkeit und tiefen Glauben. Besuch lohnt sich!
The pilgrimage church Maria Taferl is well known far and wide. The striking baroque building with its two towers high above the Danube can be seen from a long way off. The church is a wonderful example of a baroque masterpiece, the interior amazes the viewer, very many and very beautiful altars, beautiful frescoes ... many votive pictures testify to popular piety and deep faith. Well worth a visit!
