Lots of history. You should go and take the guided tour through the villa. This was the place where kaiser Franz Josef lived. This is the place where he signed the war declaration to Serbia which started world War 1.

Nice big English style park and view of Villa belonged to the emperor Franz Josef and Empress Sisi until 1912. Park visit costs 5€ and tour of Kaiservilla cost a few Euros more.

You can see The Villa ONLEY with a Tourguide wich is provided there. I was in a group with about 20 people, 17 spoke Germen, other 3 spoke English and i speak both i can safely say that the Tour Guide Translated maybe JUST 15% (!!) of what he said in Germen, to English. That fact was really really dissapointing and my Girlfirend who does not speak German got from the expirance very little as English on the "Translated lists" you get is VERY little and as said the Tour Guide onley translates 15% of the information. The Area around the Kaiservilla is very well maintained and clean. The Villa istelf offers alot to see and also some information. In conclusion, somewhat dissapointing due to the Language organisation in this Attraction.

We took the house tour and walked the grounds. It's a beautiful home with much of the originals furniture and the story of the Kaiser and his wife is interesting. The grounds are beautiful and natural. We walked into town for lunch.

This is one of those wow places. The villa is a historical gem and the tour guide there explaines everything so nicely. Staff is not only trained to say some things, but they actually know things you ask them. If you park in the middle of Bad Ischl it is not hard to find, it is accessible by foot, in thr villa itsed there are many stairs so it is not baby stroller friendly (but you can leave the stroller in the loby and take you baby with you) or wheelchair friendly. But you have many things to see outside since the park in quite big, flora is impressive and also some spots on the way through the park. You must try icecoffe with chocolate sauce and cream in the garden - yum.

A must visit villa which tells a certain part of both Habsburg monarchy and Austrian history. The villa is literally a piece of art and has huge gardens which makes it best for strolling.

Place is a lesson of history and brings you in the complicate memory of the ones that lived in. A live presentation in English instead of written explanations will be a plus.

Beautiful piece of austria-hungarian monarchy history. Great tour guide. Great place to visit, including the villa garden. Close to camper parking place.
