★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great view right over Vienna. Nice enough walk up through forests which took around an hour moving fast from hutteldorf, but some sections involved walking on roads so only 4 stars from me. Included the route in the photos below for others convenience. I think you can also get a bus to the tower itself, so maybe a better option for elderly/young families.

Couple of things, it can get very windy up, even though you don't feel the winds on the ground. If it's raining or have just rained, surface and the steps maybe slippery. Watch out, step carefully.
If the weather is nice and sunny, expect some crowds here.
Enjoy the views, love the difference between the city and nature and fall in love with nature ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place to observe the greatness of Vienna. Other than Kahlenberg, this place has a really stunning view and one can see the tiny building of the huge Austrian capital as well as the hills of the Austrian Alps. Definitely worth visiting. It's also a nice place for a family walk or a picnic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, in the winter the tower is closed and the door locked, and I always can a sure you that no one climbed over it.
You would have a fantastic view from top, but it would be very windy up there...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very quite and secluded location in Wien. Nothing fancy but if you love the wilderness and green then this is a place to check out. Very calm, quite and beautiful surroundings with a 360° view of Vienna and it's outskirts areas. Enjoy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful view of the city, highly recommended. The hike up is quite easy and there's a lot to see in the area. Be careful if you are visiting in winter it gets very windy up there.
