Depends on the day and time that you visit the place. For me it as a very disappointing experience trying to be a member of John Harris. Not all the staff are prepared and only some of them are allowed to register you (these work only in a very limited schedule). Tried contacting any manager via email, phone and personally 3 times in the same day but no luck or interest from anyone. The sad part is that they have at least 2 people in the reception at all times but none can register a new member (which should not be hard, it’s 2019 and it should be just about typing information in a software).

Okay visitors to Vienna. There is no reason you should pay €38 euros for this gym. Although centrally located, it is robbery that they would charge that much for a single day pass. Save your money and avoid the pretentiousness by going to ISC gym which is only 15 minutes away by foot.

Due to studies or work I have been training in many gyms all around. John Harris literally sets new standards in design and equipment offering a stylish environment in the very center and prime locations of Vienna. Having trained at Equinox Columbus Circle NYC, PURE in Hong Kong and Singapore, Virgin Active in London and Singapore and Holmes Place in Berlin and Vienna, I can honestly say that John Harris is not only playing in the very same league but outperforms all of them in most categories: - Modern Equipment: All cardio machines have internet/intl. tv connection and are state of the art (Technogym), newest Power Plate, TRX, newest spinning bikes - Space: very spacious, several floors, no waiting time on a Monday night - Design: combination of baroque and contemporary style, a true Viennese experience - Cleanliness: Showers are very clean, cleaning staff very present - Service: Very helpful and friendly trainers who support whenever needed but do not impose their services - Relaxation: Pool not for professional swimmers but long enough to work out properly, two saunas, one steam shower with silent rooms embedded in caved areas John Harris is quite simply the best gym in Vienna and worth to be joined. Best value for money!

Excelent gym as my experience. The only things is a bit bad at the dressing room when is to crowded. Staff are very helpful and very nice. There is not such a good gym like this in the USA. Great work guys and congrats. ?

There is no music on the first floor and it feels more like a hospital than a-gym. Classes should also cater for sporty people, not only older people. Otherwise amenities are excellent.

I have an annual pass since almost two years. At the beginning I didn't have much time to visit the studio so I couldn't really make an accurate opinion about it. In the last half year I started to go there more often, just cause of the spa. I do not do fitness there ,so my evaluation is only about the spa area. I started at the ladies area a few times and at different hours. Too loud, overcrowded with young disco chicken doing their toilet and cosmetic there. Loud hair dryers noise interfering with the sound of dragged chairs and the loud chatting that never stops.the resting area lies in an open place with nothing that could hinder the noise coming from the cloack room, shower or hair dryers. I do not have to talk about the cleaningness of the place after they leave. I ruined one of my white shirts just because someone smudged make up on the toilet table. It doesn't really matter at which hour you go there it simply gives you the feeling of a cheap meeting point for people suffering of attention deficit syndrome. I said ok I will try the mixed area. It is newly renovated, nicer that the ladies area but that is the only positive point in it. The same noise , except the hair dryers. I said to myself I came I rush hours so that is the reason why it is so noisy. So today I tried the early hours, right after the opening hours. It wasn't crowded at all so I was really happy thinking I can spend a few minutes relaxing. My hope was killed within a few minutes after coming out from the sauna. The cleaning maids were doing their job, cleaning around, throwing around with water, washing up, dragging the beds in the resting room around me, so I left after 10 minutes. I do not complain about their job, I know it has to be done in order to be clean but I just ask: wouldn't it be possible to do it before the opening hours? For the money I pay I think I have the right to ask this question. In case you do not find me under the customers name pls try Aniko Vonblon.

Not the best John Harris in Vienna. Usually very crowded (especially in the locker rooms; if you want to join a class make sure to be there 30mins ahead as every single spot will be taken by then), Wi-Fi is unreliable and not available in all areas of the gym, new staff at the front desk doesn't greet arriving and leaving members. However the location is great and they offer lots of different and high quality equipment. Recommendation: Bring your own water as the only water temperature available is boiling hot.

If I were going to describe my perfect gym, I'd be describing this John Harris. Initially hard to know your way around, but filled with small corners that makes it feel like a private work out if that's what you want. I've never waited more than 2 minutes to use a machine and the staff are super friendly and helpful
