Das wunderschöne Mühlviertel bietet den Rahmen für diese Wanderung. Je nach Einteilung kommt man in drei oder vier Tagen ans Ziel. An 84km long circular hiking trail. There is a lot of time on the route to get into harmony with nature and yourself. The beautiful Mühlviertel provides the setting for this hike. Depending on the division, you can reach your destination in three or four days.

Gegen den Uhrzeigersinn zu gehen ist eine Herausforderung... falls man das machen möchte unbedingt die APP runterladen. Aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich das Hotel Fürst und die Pension Kriechbaumer (einfach, sauber, nett) empfehlen. Very well signposted; not to be underestimated as it is always up and downhill. Going counter-clockwise is a challenge ... if you want to do that, be sure to download the APP. From my own experience I can recommend the Hotel Fürst and the Pension Kriechbaumer (simple, clean, nice).
K	Karin Achatz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich bin den Johannesweg mit meinem Sohn in den Herbstferien Ende Oktober gegangen. Wunderschön die vielen bunten Laubwälder, viele freundliche Mühlviertler. Großer Wermutstropfen - ein Großteil der Strecke ist auf Asphalt zu bewältigen, teilweise stark befahrene Straßen ohne Gehsteig. I walked the Johannesweg with my son during the autumn break at the end of October. The many colorful deciduous forests, many friendly people from the Mühlviertel are beautiful. Big drop of bitterness - a large part of the route has to be tackled on asphalt, some of the roads with heavy traffic have no sidewalks.
G	Gabriela Höller on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haben heute eine verkürzte Etappe von Pierbach bis zur Ruine Prandegg gemacht. Es war wunderbar. Today we made a shortened stage from Pierbach to the Prandegg ruins. It was wonderful.

Zimmer sollte man in der Hauptsaison jedenfalls vorreservieren. Landschaftlich wirklich sehr fein. Die kleine Investition von 3€ für einen Stempelpass kann ich jedem empfehlen, der gern eine kleine Belohnung oder ein Andenken haben möchte ? Great trail for beginners to top athletes (depending on how many days you split the hike). Rooms should be reserved in advance in the main season. The landscape is really very fine. I can recommend the small investment of 3 € for a stamp pass to anyone who would like to have a small reward or a souvenir ?
