★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a nice managed castle with a superb panorama from the top level. They have also a restaurant inside the castle with good food.
You can park your car at the base of the mountain and hike for about 1.5 hours or just drive directly at the castle but the parking lot is most of the time full up there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most iconic castels in the area. Well worth the walk / drive up. Entry is reasonable at 7 euros.
The restaurant inside is good, not great, but good. At least it's not a tourist trap and it has stunning views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breathtaking views from the castle. Nice thematic play for children using audio guide. Enough place/ tables to have a break or snack brought with you. Toilet (many cabins) free of charge. Enough parking opportunities at the entrance. Small but nice shop with souvenirs and cafe corner.
Contras: Big disaster is the restaurant / gasthaus in the castle:15 min to make an order, 50 min waiting for food, a half of ordered food was not served, 15 min trying to pay a bill. I would recommend to take your own sandwiches....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely old castle near Danube river. Wonderful view over Wachau wine Valley. If you enjoy walking, leave your car on the parking near the river. It is about 40 minutes climbing through a nice forest path. The restaurant inside the castle is also a nice place for a refreshment of a meal. I can highly recommend this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is stunning. Up in the mountains and the view you have ftom the top of the towers is indescribable. Mountains, hills and the Danube. The entrance fee was 7,5 euros only. Its worth every cent if you ever come across this area. They do have a cafe too. We just didn't try it but it looked cozy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place to visit. I was surprised how many visitors are coming to this place. You need to park your car under the castle and then you can go uphill on foot or with the bus. We took the bus. Return ticket costs 2 Euros per person. Entrance to the castle is 6 Euros.
Remains of the castle look very good. Very nice view on the river and the valley. Going around castle is easy and interesting. Many places to buy some small things, or some gifts. Few places where you can eat and drink.
Very nice nature surrounding the castle.
Nice daytrip. For every recommendation
