INTERSPAR-pronto - Landstraßer Hauptstraße 1b

Dear Interspar Management, unfortunately I had what in my personal opinion consider a negative shopping experience today at the Wien Zentrum location. As someone of French-American religious minority background I felt especially unwelcomed and vulnerable during my checkout. After I had already paid, signed the bill (spent almost 100 euros) and was nearly walking away, the cashier called me back and subjected me to questioning in what I perceived to be a harsh manner about my credit card signature asking to inspect my card and see an Austrian ID (I just moved here from the U.S. and don't have a local ID card yet). During all of this as I searched for some alternative ID a large line formed behind me inconveniencing many shoppers as we commenced this additional verification. Despite asking to do this verification in English (German is my second language) she refused or was unable to. Overall this was incredibly embarrassing and if that wasn't bad enough I noticed that one of my items was dropped behind the checkout counter and had to ask her to return it to me after the awkward encounter. I understand the need to verify payment in certain circumstances, but this seemed excessive and intrusive considering I had already paid, signed, and was in the process of leaving. Also I would expect better attention to detail by a cashier for dropped items. I've shopped many times at Interspar in the past and had good experiences, I hope with some training staff won't behave in this way in the future for other shoppers and make everyone including people like myself feel welcomed. I'd like to continue shopping at your store since I live nearby, but honestly am a bit scared now.

There is a wide choice of products. The fruit and vegetable department very tidy and well stocked with very welcoming staff.

Very well supplied and accessible Interspar store. Also many cash desks provide for a smooth check out.

The largest SPAR so far I have seen now. The staff is fair in prize, sone of them even really cheaper than orther market such as Hofer. It includes many international food ingredient. Have fresh meat. I pass there from the airport train on 14th Feb, the shopping mall has some celebrate Valentine's Day. So fun.

Great that it’s basically always opened, has been a lifesaver already. However, due to the lockdown, these are the new opening hours:

Amazing grocery store. Becouse it's an interspar, its alot bigger then others which makes it much better then others. Yoi can not only find food in there but also unusual stuff like christmas led lamps at christmas. In the big interspar in donauzentrum you can also find a stand full of alcochol. Wine, beer,whiskey and more. You can also find unusual fruits like coconut, dragonfruit, mangos and other stuff which u can't find in a normal spar.

Great selection of food and drinks at this centrally located grocery store in Wien Mitte Mall. It gets super busy in the evenings and on Saturday so consider yourself warned. ;)

One of the few places around that are open on Sunday. Note, this is the convenience store Interspar, not the big supermarket.
