Good overnight stay on our way to the skiing resort

It is a okay hotel, rooms are good. But Covid rules in the breakfast area seems to be away. I hope that they know how to handle GDPR data as Covid data was request at checkin.

The front desk lady was very polite and welcomed us nicely. The room was clean and the facilities were well maintained. Very close to both the train station and the center of the city. We definitely recommend this place

Avoid this at all cost! I have had a very unpleasant experience with the stuff at the Ibis hotel in Bregenz. We have booked the room while we were on our way to the hotel (2 hours prior to arriving there). We were aware of the mention we saw on booking.com that the hotel staff might require some company documents to validate our business stay. And we did have the necessary documents. Still, the staff had a very unpleasant attitude and kept declining our stay there, although we did show them our company's valid and official documents that validated our stay in Bregenz. On the other hand, the staff showed us some form that we were "supposed" to have from our company, but they had no form example that we could complete there. Nonetheless, we were welcomed with open, warm arms by a nearby hotel, a way more luxurious one, and they did have a special form for business trips that we only needed to fill up. They were more than glad to welcome us 5 min after we have been ungracefully declined by Ibis. And they had great manners and a great attitude too, unlike the Ibis employees! When we have been told to leave,  we asked the staff for the refund as we paid online before arriving, they said that we should take care of this through booking as we have booked our room through the booking.com website. I complained about this both to the hotel customer service and to booking.com and no refund yet! Although it s 100% the hotel's fault that they declined our stay for no valid reason!!

Unfortunately I cannot give more than two stars to this hotel. The biggest pro is of course its central position: between 5 and 15 min walk you can reach more or less everything Bregenz has to offer. On the other hand the room we stayed was quite dirty with spider webs in the corners and a fair amount of dust on the surfaces. The bed (and the pillows) were also not the best I slept on. Breakfast was ok, not much variety though. Workers at the reception were ok. All in all if you don't have high demand this is the hotel for you. Edit: another pro that I almost forgot to mention is the wifi connection. The quality is really good and I haven't experienced a single problem with it.

Too expensive for what it offers: rooms that are disgustingly hot without a good possibility of cooling. On the other hand were the duvets too small for the bed which is quite ridiculous as well. Breakfast was normal.

We had a very pleasant stay in the Ibis Bregenz. It is very well located near the station and town centre. The reception staff are welcoming and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
