Worst experience ever. They allowed dogs in the lounge and almost bite my little 3 old boy

We stopped here on a coach tour, the driver told us it was excellent beforehand, but I did not think so, only average, the room was small, the breakfast a bit poor, the location was not great either, it is set in a nice village, but miles from Vienna and on a main road, I did not find out if there was a bus service on this road, but fortunately there was a nearby train station that had an hourly service and took 30 mins to get to Vienna, the village was nice, as is Austria as a whole, but we were only staying here with the tour with the intention to visit Vienna, so not ideal.

Like the last reviewer, I stayed here on a coach tour, but our driver wouldn't tell us anything about the hotel beforehand, just suggested we make our own minds up, which rang alarm bells a bit. Overall, the hotel was a bit weird. It was very "Austrian" but seemed sort of fake Austrian, like when you go to a Scottish holiday camp and all the staff are wearing tartan and kilts, sort of phony. The waitresses wore traditional outfits, and the manager ( owner ) had braces with little white flowers on, I almost expected them to break into a chorus of Eidelweiss at any moment. They didn't like plastic in the bar to pay for drinks, cash only please. The food was quite decent. Oddest thing was, the room had a sauna cabinet in it! I would have preferred tea and coffee making facilities, but these were absent, as were the standard hotel perks of shampoos and such. No fridge or minibar either. Not the best hotel I've ever stayed in, but not the worst either. It reminded me of a Scandanavian ski lodge more than anything. I notice the owner has replied to a guest from a while ago, saying that the hotel allows dogs in it. The hotel has a dog which often wandered around in the kitchen. It was medium size, and quite friendly, but still definitely a dog! I wasn't too amused to see it wandering around in the food preparation areas though.

When I stayed at this hotel, I had a fairly pleasurable experience. However, the rooms definitely had some flaws. There were a series of marks on the walls which was disappointing to see. We saw dogs in the lobby which was nice but is not to everyone's taste especially if people are allergic and the dogs are dangerous. However, the food was good. There was a good selection of food at dinner and breakfast. If I was to say one thing, it would be that there should be a wider range of hot food. The continental food was very respectable though. Overall, I didn't mind it but the room was a let-down.

Enjoyed the stay, decent prices and the personal talk english & was verry helpfull, everything was perfect!
