S	Shaun Sinclair on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second visit.. Doorstep skiing, great for the kids. Gondola right at the hotel. Ski boot room is fabulous. Food ideal & plentiful. Staff very pleasant. Pool facilities are also very high quality. I really find nothing negative... ... so 5 * from me! Oh and Obergurl / Hochgurgl is also marvellous. Not massive in km of piste, but no waiting for lifts here. I am a big fan!

Rooms were very comfortable, and there's a nice bar area downstairs with a relaxed atmosphere and cosy fireplace. The hotel is quite dated, which was expected when we booked, but don't believe the reviews suggesting it's falling apart - it isn't! Breakfast and dinner were really great, and the staff are fantastic. They even arranged a birthday cake for one of our group. Pool and spa facilities are hard to beat. Especially for the money! Location by the lift is also ideal. I'd go back!
N	Niki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Difficult review..Straight after covid lockdown. Rooms very clean and also very tired. Things broken in room. Safe, balcony door, cupboard. Needs completely gutting. The maid service excellent. The 1st two days of our stay the "food" was appalling and not fit for cosumption. I would never have served what the offering was and none of the food was heated. Anyway day 3 saw a vast improvement after many complaints and when leaving I would say the food was good. The drinks are extremely overpriced a 70cc bottle of still water €5.30 euros. And measures are small for the cost The location is amazing literally 30 steps to the gondola and skis right back to hotel boot room door. The lift in the hotel had a very bad odour and having reported it as I write this still not rectified. The staff that we were served by were excellent. Sadly the hotel really does fall short, the food on the first two days of our stay really spoilt our holiday having to complain so much. To finish on a positive, the hotel spa is incredible and made up for the room. Would I stay again... really not sure.

The Hotel Sportiv has a great ski in and ski out location, with the hotel boot room at the foot of to the Festkoglbahn gondola. The Red run home is a little challenging in the afternoon however a short bus is available for the less brave. The room was very basic and dated but had a mountain view and had everything we needed. Good selection of food for breakfast and dinner, including fruit, a cheeseboard and a pudding option. Mario provided an impeccable service during breakfast and dinner servings- a staff member the hotel should be very proud of. The bar area in the Hotel was dated and not very inviting, however Georgi at hotel Crystal bar across the road makes a fantastic cocktail. The spa facilities are outstanding, being part of the newer and more upmarket hotel Crystal. A favourite of ours was the outdoor hot pool at the bottom of the mountain. The Indoor pool, steam rooms and saunas are extensive and are of a very high quality.
