Very good for relaxing and spent time with family (they have playground for kids outside).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful retreat to spend a night in the outdoorsy Semmering region, and a true architectural jewel that shines in its simplicity. The rooms are comfy and the view on the surroundings is breathtaking. The food was great (supper and breakfast) and the wine selection satisfactory. The service did not leave anything to be desired. I removed one star because we booked one specific room famous for its architectural value, and upon our arrival we were told that the room had been "mistakenly" given to another couple (that paid for three nights). We considered leaving to return another time, but we finally decided to stay even though our replacement room had a shared bathroom... All in all a satisfactory experience. We will definitely return to try the room we had planned to stay in, in the first place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Personally we found that food recently was not always at the best range/quality (we've been coming 5 times in 2 years so far, each time different). We got a Wiener Schnitzel worse than in a more moderate priced & "am Boden" restaurant...
Unfortunately a worse service recently damaged the atmosphere (waiters in such a place should be instructed that ladies must be served first and guests should not get "jumping" dishes over their heads & crossing other neighbouring guests, as it often happened).The positive fame of this place goes mainly to the historical tradition(Arch. A.Loos built it for a family) & to the breathtaking view, but only if you seat outside (Summer) or next the large main window. Rooms are nothing exceptional for the charged price & standard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. Restaurant has rustic mostly traditional food with great quality ingredients and zero pretentiousness. Rooms on the gallery around the dining room can be a bit loud since the walls are a little thin but it didn't bother us. Incredible views. Dog friendly.
