Excellent food, service and ambience

After dinner in the restaurant we were not allowed to pay by credit card but rather asked to use a nearby ATM and pay cash. Welcome to the 21st century... Food is ok.

Made a reservation two days ahead, only to be sent away on the day. Since “they could not send people away”. Apparently they could send us back in the cold with one kid an infant and a baby. Restaurant was half empty but other guests needed to arrive still.

We got this hotel recommended and would recommend it further! The hotel and its spa area are really nice, family and staff are really friendly which made it the perfect get away location. We'll definitely come back during winter season to try out the ski resort and enjoy the nice atmosphere of this hotel.

Nice staff, nice location, nice and renovated hotel, and nice food

My wife and I stayed in Herrschaftstaverne for a long ski weekend in the Haus/Planai area. The hotel has truly met and exceeded our expectations. First and foremost, the owner and his family have been very friendly and forthcoming with information, late food…anything we asked really. The hotel is built in a traditional style yet modern from inside with well furnished rooms (comfortable bed, quiet, warm). We enjoyed breakfast, 4 course dinner and an afternoon snack. We were especially pleased that we could go a bit later for dinner, unlike most previous hotels in the area we stayed in, where dinner tends to finish rather early. Amenities include wellness with a small pool, again with generous opening hours. Car park at the back, ski/boots storage (with lockers and boot dryers) and the hotel are seamlessly connected. There is a cosy bar offering tap beer, wine and cocktails, coffee/tea. The hotel is in the very centre of the village Haus, the bank, local café etc are a few meters away. The slopes can be reached either by foot – which takes about 200 m walk there and a bit less back (subject to enough snow, but that wasn’t an issue this time). The other option is the ski bus, which stops less than 100 from the hotel. It goes to any of the 4 connected ski areas, but it is not that frequent. We have enjoyed our stay in Herrschaftstaverne and will gladly come back at the next opportunity.

The Hotel Herrschaftstaverne in Haus Austria is the most enchanting place in the world ...., not only because it is located in a beautiful area of ​​the Austrian Alps, but mainly because it is run by the great Steger family. The Steger family creates a friendly atmosphere, and their guests feel at home. We go to them very much, everything is always ready .... The experiences are versatile, the food is fabulous and the rest is perfect ..... We are very happy to return to Herrshaftstaverne ..... Family Šigut Prague Czech Republic

Very nice, family run hotel. Just the way you wanted. Very smooth check-in, very nice comfortable room with balcony. For my taste a bit too warm in the room, but I had no problem with that. The bed was rather soft which is not my favorite but my son enjoyed it. After skiing snack was pleasant and we both enjoyed it. We went to the spa, where I enjoyed sauna and then cooled down in the snow outside. Dinner which was part of half board was more than enough. Wide selection of salads and cured salmon and ham - you cannot complain it was very nice. The breakfast was also amazing but I was full from the dinner. The selection is wide and everyone will find their taste in there. The hotel has an amazing kids room as well. I can only recommend and I am sure I will come back one day.
