★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice outer location, very smokey smell at reception as bar is located near by. Stayed in family room, dated but fine for our purpose. Massive bathroom. Breakfast and staff fine. Stubai alps a must see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't have any problems. The room was spacious and in good enough shape and they even had a sauna! Good value for the price. It was really easy to get to the Innsbruck center with a bus (or with a tram that took a very nice route).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice location and view from the balcony but a little far from the city. Perfect location for those who enjoy nature and wish to stay in the nature. There are direct bus connection form the main station to the hotel and buses run every half and hour. Hotel is good with a small cafe for drinks and all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Gruberhof was a nice stop for us. The hotel is located just up the street (short walking distance) from the bus stop that takes you into Innsbruck. The staff were super friendly and informative. We had a minor mixup with our reservation when we arrived. We didn't ask for anything other than what we requested but they upgraded our room and really went above and beyond. Their breakfast buffet is huge and everything on it was delicious and fresh. There is a nice little artificial lake just outside the restaurant. The hotel has some really great views of the mountains. I would stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice location, but a little far from the city. The cable car start point near the hotel was closed when we stayed. Given the location they should have either a terrace or a quite place for star gazing.
The view around the hotel is a amazing though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is such a comfortable, friendly and convenient place to stay! We just loved it. As a family of 5, we can't always find a good place. This was great- -5 minutes walking distance to the cafés, restaurants, bus-line, trams, gondola and even the tourist information office. We had two rooms next to one another, with a shared balcony. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The food was also delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little hotel. I would stay here again.
Pros:
- Price: One of the best deals within 100km that I found for a family of 4.
- Location: Very nice location. We were within 15km of 3 different bahns for going up the mountains. Hiking is very close. You can walk from the hotel to hiking spots.
- Pool / Pond: They have a really neat swimming pond in front that's also lit until 2200ish. Fun for adults and kids.
Average:
- Restaurant: Due to COVID, the restaurant had a limited selection. The food was a decent price. We thought that the soup was a bit overpriced. €6 for a normal sized bowl. The water was true to European standard, expensive. Bottles were €5. The food quality was fine, though.
Poor:
- Air Conditioner: There aren't any. The rooms got hot during the day and were slow to cool off.
- Smoking: This goes along with the previous comment on A/C. We are a non smoking family. The rooms on each side, below, and above us were smoking families, so we couldn't keep the windows open because from 0600 through 2300 someone was smoking around us and making our whole room stink. The hotel supports smoking, as they have ashtrays on every balcony.
- Power: We came here to tour and walk around. There weren't enough outlets in the room for 4 people to use more than one outlet each. So I could charge my watch, my phone, my power bank, or my computer, but not more than one at a time. Also I left my power bank to charge when we left and the hotel (cleaning service) by policy turns off all power to the room when not occupied. Makes sense for power conservation but doesn't help a charging computer or power bank.
- Bathroom: The shower and the toilet are two different rooms. There is not a sink to wash hands in the bathroom, you must use the shower room. If it's occupied, no hand washing for you.
- Beds: Thin mattresses and very firm foam. If you can't sleep on a European extra firm mattress, you may have trouble sleeping.
Conclusion: Even with the negatives, the location and the price made this a great find. Just come into the hotel with expectations on the potential negatives and you'll have a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is great value for money and is close to town, good for transport and close to skiing as well. Although the hotel isn’t very fancy the customer service and the breakfast was exceptional. The man who checked us in went above and beyond to help us and because of that we would definitely stay there again.
