★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great hostel in a perfect beautiful location! Very close to hallstatt and great food on your doorstep. The owner (papa) was so helpful and so welcoming!! We checked in at evening time and the host was so nice as to walk us down to the nearby river as we didnt know where it was! He was so helpful and had advice about how to get to hallstatt with lots of maps etc. The village is so beautiful and scenic. The kitchen had great facilities and offered various kinds of twinings tea/green tea. Rotating fand in the room to keep you cool. It was a great atmosphere downstairs at the bar where we played pool and met other travellers and locals. If you go, try papa's homemade fruity licquer! It's amazing. The best host and a great stay here at the hostel. And Max the dog is so cute and friendly! Thanks for the great experience Papa!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lucas was extremely excellent. We were there on New Year's Eve and he helped us to go around and suggesting few good places to visit. We also ate at his cafe and he was kind enough trying to accommodate into our diet requirements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hostel is amazing! They went out of their way to make my friend and I feel so comfortable and gave us tips and tricks to enable us to see all that Hallstatt and surrounds has to offer. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Easy access to the train and bus station which can quickly take you into Hallstatt. Thank you so much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hostel. Clean and tidy. Provides a full fledged kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and utensils. It's at the centre of the town about 5-7 Min walk from the train station. The town is too beautiful to miss hence I recommend everyone to stay here to enjoy the beauty of the town.

The owner is friendly and helpful in explaining us about the region and the place we will go. There is free tea for tea lover! The kitchen is superb. There is everything you want such as microwave, strove, oven, fridge, hot water boiler, and so on. The toilet is my favorite place! It is clean and neat. There is a female bathroom and male bathroom separately.
