Es wird vermutet, dass schon in vorchristlicher Zeit der Hollerberg als Kult- und Andachtsstätte diente.
Erstmalige Erwähnung findet die St. Georgs-Kirche im Jahre 1378 um deren Entstehungsgeschichte sich Mythen und Sagen ranken. Der Neubau der Kirche erfolgte im 15. Jahrhundert.
Ein Ort der Ruhe , Erholung und inneren Einkehr in der phantastischen Landschaft des Mühlviertels.
