★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They advertise opening hours 10:00-18:00. We were here on Saturday at 17:00 and it was closed. Boards showing opening time were infront of the gate and next to the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is about the trip to the top and not about the restaurant you will find there as I did not visit that one.
The road is with a toll fee of 5 euros and is worth the money. It provides beautiful views of the innsbruck Valley all the way up the 6 km long ascent. We did not meet so many cars, but quite a lot of bicycles that took the climb as part of their training program.
There are supposedly trails on the top, but we didn't have time to explore these due to heavy rain.
