★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Herberstein is one of the few restaurants I've been to that can do many things well. It is one of the best sushi spots in Linz. Additionally, I have had one of the best steaks I've eaten in Linz here. Finally, the bar serves fantastic drinks. The courtyard on the side provides a beautiful atmosphere in warmer months, and the inside has amazing architecture to admire in colder months. Herberstein is absolutely one of my favorite spots in Linz.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite places in Linz downtown. And there aren't many. Herberstein delivers consistent high quality over many many years, being sometimes a bit creative but not too much. Focus here is on quality and consistency - and they do that very well. Every evening here is well spent.

The service is always impeccable as well.
It is a bit pricey though, but definitely worth every penny.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding! Wonderful restaurant. We were lucky to get a table towards the end of the night. Cosy little rooms with dining tables.
Fantastic wine in a decanter. The mushroom soup was amazing and the avocado scallops!
For mains we had the fish and the surf and turf. Excellent quality meat and fresh fish. Too much we couldn’t finish it all!
Waiters and manager very attentive and friendly. Finished with some great schnapps on the house and they gave us an extra round too!
