★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I enjoyed the hike, the views and seeing this medieval castle. It is a beautiful site offers great views of Austria, Slovakia and the Danube. The hike up is scenic on a path shaded by trees. The castle walls and grass provided a peaceful experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful lookout, easy to get there from Hainburg. You park next to Penny and walk through the forest, even with small child won't take more than 20 minutes. After that, you will be awarded by an exceptional view. Nrxt to that, only ruin of the castle you can see there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have a choice to get to the top. Either a short but very steep way or an easier but longer walk around the hill.
Either way the view from the top is well worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice walk up to the hill by a well maintained footpath. Commanding views of the Danube National park, the town of Hainburg and Europe's second largest river.
The castle has been partly but sympathetically reconstructed. You can walk all around the castle walls with unobstructed views. Few trees on meadow for shade during the hot summer months. My tip: get there for sunrise and you will have the place to yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A perfect place at 1 hour drive from Vienna for a quick getaway. The castle is spacious, well-maintained and clean. The easy hike from parking is about 15mins. The parking lot is free and has space for 6-9 cars.
The views are amazing too. Has not lost the historical touch despite renovation and maintenance. Highly recommend to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ awsum Location für Autumn Pictures, nice casual walk up the Hill from besides the parking lot. be sure to take water along. worth the climb to get surreal views of the surroundings and the Donau.
take the pathway up and then walk down the steep road. be careful not to run down as it's very steep road. enjoy
