T	The Visitor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die S80 fuhr früher bis hier her. Jetzt stellt sich die Frage: Warum existiert diese Station wenn sich die Leute so beschweren? The S80 drove here earlier. Now the question arises: Why does this station exist when people complain?
j	j L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Station wird im Dezember eingestellt und das merkt man natürlich: nur ein Bahnsteig aus Holzlatten, man würde nie vermuten dass man sich in der Nähe oder gar in einer Großstadt befindet. The station will be closed in December and you notice that of course: just a platform made of wooden slats, you would never suspect that you are in the vicinity or even in a big city.
F	Felix on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Also Bahnhof kann man das ja nicht nennen. Für die ÖBB kommen zu wenig Leute um dort auszubauen, und für die Leute ist der "Bahnhof" unattraktiv da selten ein Zug fährt. Klassische Pat Situation. Bevor ich mir das antue dort zu warten fahre ich lieber länger mit der U-Bahn So you can't call it a train station. Vor 20 Jahren mit ein Grund nach Aspern zu ziehen, weil ich ohnehin täglich mit der S80 gefahren bin. Seit dem ist sie sehr stiefmütterlich behandelt worden. Vor dem Bau der U2 wurde das zweite Bahngleis sowie die Stromleitungen abgerissen. Damit gibt's nurmehr den "umweltfreundlicheren" Dieselbetrieb. Damit fahren hier nur REX Züge zwischen Wien Hbf und Bratislava Hbf sowie Regionalzüge zwischen Wien Hbf und Marchegg. Der Bahnsteig hat nicht viel zu bieten, ein paar Sitzplätze, ein kleines Wartehäuschen. Leider wurde mit der Einführung der SB-Strecken der Fahrkartenautomat eingespart (Ironie?). Also sollte man in voraus kaufen oder einen Umweg über Stadlau einrechnen. (Die üblicherweise benötigten Euregio Tickets gibt's nicht im Internet oder am Handy zu kaufen.) In den nächsten Jahren soll aber die Strecke zweigleisig ausgebaut und (wieder) elektrifiziert werden, dafür bis Bratislava. Dabei soll die Station ganz aufgelassen werden und durch eine neue Station bei Aspern Nord ersetzt werden. Bevor die U-Bahn daneben gebaut wurde, gab es einen tollen Ausblick bis zu den Hügeln/Bergen südlich von Wien. Hausfeldstrasse used to be the terminus of the S80 express train line. 20 years ago with a reason to move to Aspern because I drove the S80 every day anyway. Since then she has been treated very neglected. Before the U2 was built, the second train track and the power lines were demolished. So there is only the "more environmentally friendly" diesel operation. This means that only REX trains run between Vienna Hbf and Bratislava Hbf and regional trains between Vienna Hbf and Marchegg. The platform doesn't have much to offer, a couple of seats, a small bus shelter. Unfortunately, the ticket machine was saved with the introduction of self-service routes (irony?). So you should buy in advance or include a detour via Stadlau. (The Euregio tickets that are usually required cannot be bought on the Internet or on mobile phones.) In the next few years, however, the route will be expanded and (again) electrified on two tracks, to Bratislava. The station is to be completely abandoned and replaced by a new station near Aspern Nord. Before the subway was built next to it, there was a great view to the hills / mountains south of Vienna.
